Sifu Rodney Littles II

Senior Instructor

Rodney started his martial journey when he was seven with American Kempo Karate.  At twenty, after a few periods of not training, Rodney started training with a boxer who was going professional.  Soon after, Rodney realized that while he could box, it was not enough to take out a larger opponent.  After months of research, Rodney found an Eagle Claw school in Atlanta, Georgia operated by Master Joel Rodriguez.

After several years of training, Master Rodriguez unexpectedly passed, and Rodney had to decide the continuing direction of his martial journey.  Rodney believed Texas was the best place to continue pursuing his understanding of Eagle Claw because of Master Michael Aronson, and a dedicated group of Martial Artists practicing and honing their methods.  After years of travelling to Grandmaster Leung Shum in New York to test, Rodney obtained the rank of Sifu.  At this point, Grandmaster Shum was urging Rodney to teach.  It was not until Rodney was teaching the Ying Jow curriculum that the question of what made it so special became clear to him.  Rodney spends his training hours answering the riddle Grandmaster Shum has presented him, Ying Jow Pai. He is also proficient in Wu style tai chi, also obtained from the Ying Jow Pai school.
